Cooling Salve for Achy Joints

Description

The use of nettles in this salve was inspired by teachings shared with me from Ojibwe Elders that used nettles to reduce the pain of arthritis. I paired the nettles with plantain and wintergreen which both have anti-inflammatory and cooling effects on the body. I added the dandelion flowers, which is a plant I like to pair with plantain, since they are so commonly found in one’s back yard or even the cracks in the sidewalk, and also addresses inflammation. Try this salve out on achy joints. Apply regularly for best results. It would also have beneficial affects on a sunburn.
